Puppy and Kitten Wellness

Just as with human infants, young pets need special attention as they are growing and thriving. Initial kitten and puppy exams generally take a bit longer than traditional exams as they are full of important information. We want to allow time to answer any questions you may have concerning your new pet’s health, nutrition, and behavior.  Some common questions that may come up:

What should I feed my new pet?

How much should I be feeding?

What about housebreaking and behavior?

What do I do if he or she gets sick?

Should my pet be vaccinated?

The doctors and staff at Frankfort Animal Care Center understand how overwhelming becoming a new pet parent can be. We are dedicated to partnering with you to ensure a long, happy, healthy life for your new family member.

Frankfort Animal Care Center offers puppy and kitten packages to help you and your pet stay on track with your pet’s vaccine schedule.

Puppy Packages:

All puppies need to be examined and begin vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age. Vaccines are repeated every 3-4 weeks until they are 14-16 weeks of age. Stool exams and dewormings are also recommended to ensure that the pet is free of disease causing intestinal parasites. Monthly heartworm and flea prevention will be discussed.
